Tri-County All Stars play to advance to nationals

The 16-18 year old Babe Ruth All-Stars of South Texas are still competing for the Southwest Regional Title in El Dorado, Arkansas. Seniors Jake Rangnow and Jennings Boothe are representing Cuero on the team. The team is composed of players from Cuero, Bellville, Columbus, LaGrange, Halletsville, Flatonia, Weimer, Yoakum, and Shiner.
On Friday July 18th, the Tri-County All Stars defeated Union County Arkansas 11-7. On Saturday, however; they lost to Lousiana 2-6, forcing them into the losers bracket. On Sunday, Tri-County defeated Mississippi 13-0.
The Tri-County All Stars were involved in two must win games Monday July, 21st against Seabrook, Arkansas and either East Texas All Stars or Lousiana Hogs.
The winner of the Southwest Regional Tournament will advance to the Babe Ruth World Series to be held August 8-15 in Newark, Ohio.
