Wildcats fall at home, 20-2

The Yorktown Wildcats had their first baseball game at home on Feb. 26 against the Falls City Beavers. After two long innings in the third and fourth, Yorktown lost 20-2.
At the top of the third inning the Beavers were ahead 1-0. Senior, Lane Strieber was pitching and had the Beavers with two outs. With two men on base the Beavers hit a grounder to the third baseman. His glove was high on the grounder and two runs were scored. The Beavers extended their lead 3-1. The next batter would hit a grounder to first base for an error causing another run to score making it 4-1.
