KYB bakes cookies for Warriors Weekend

The ingredients are sugar, flour, eggs milk, and what ever flavorings wanted to make cookies. Yet the most important ingredient for this batch of cookies was the love and appreciation that came from a community.
Keep Yorktown Beautiful coordinated a Wounded Warrior cookie haul asking area churches and organizations to donate homemade cookies for the weekend.
“It started with the idea if it was possible baking 100 dozen cookies. The next meeting it went up to 150 dozen. In our last meeting we felt that it needed to be 300 dozen cookies because of the 700 soldiers coming to fishing and relax in Port O’Connor,” said Sarah Hahn. “It is nothing compared to what they have done for us.”
