7th grade Gobblers continue winning ways

The 7th grade boys white squad took on the Yoakum Bulldogs on the road, on January 8th and followed that contest with a home matchup against the Palacios Sharks.
The boys travelled to Yoakum and the contest between the rivals was as close as could be. The Gobblers and Bulldogs were tied at the end of the first, second, and third quarters. In the fourth quarter, however, Yoakum outscored the Gobblers by two to take the victory 12-10.
Scoring Line: Jared Edwards 2, Claudio Gonzales 2, Case Farris 4, William Miller 2.
On January 11, the boys returned home to take on the Palacios Sharks. The Gobblers put on a good showing for the home fans, taking the victory 21-7. The Gobblers and Sharks were tied after one quarter, but Cuero opened up a good lead in the second and never looked back.
Scoring Line: Hunter Kutach 2, Jacob Stock 2, William Miller 4, Dylan Malandrakis 2, Claudio Gonzales 2, Jared Wagenr 2, Jeremiah Anzaldua 2, E.J. Johnson 4.
Season Record: 5-2
The 7th grade boys green squad managed to keep their perfect record in tact in their two contests, taking to impressive victories over Yoakum and Palacios.
On the road against Yoakum, the Gobblers found themselves down 16-13 after the first quarter, but outscored Yoakum 11 -5 in the second quarter. After gaining a lead, the Gobblers never looked back, outscoring the Bulldogs 25 - 26 in the second half. The Gobblers improved to 5-0 on the season with a 49-27 victory.
