Elvis lamp shines on Gonzales To climax an evening of fun and fund-raising at the 15th Annual Cuero Chamber of Commerce Auction Saturday, this year's recipient of the infamous Elvis lamp was named. It is Gerard Gonzales, owner of Standard Printing.
Best Ruby chosen for Gobbler Gallop Last Wednesday the 2008 Ruby Begonia Race Team, which is made up of Captain Roxanne Hanselka, Coach Erik McCowan, and Handlers Sheriff Jode Zavesky and Terri Warwas, gathered to choose this year's Ruby Begonia to participate in the 2008 Great Gobbler Gallop.
Rainbow Room sees 4-H support After holding a successful fundraiser earlier this summer, members of Arneckeville 4-H presented a check for $850 to The Rainbow Room in Cuero. Housed in the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services offices, The Rainbow Room is an emergency resource center created to help abused or neglected children.
