Yorktown ISD Supt. Deborah Kneese surprised her board of trustees last week announcing her retirement at the end of June.

The board had just renewed Supt. Kneese’s contract through 2016 at their meeting in January.

In their meeting Monday, Feb. 18, trustees had concluded regular business issues and had closed the meeting to review administrative contracts.
