Chupacabra has history Yorktown has found their own Chupacabra. In October of 2007, while traveling the roads of DeWitt County, Mendy Campbell's friend, Ernest Naranjo and cousin, Valerio Mungia Jr. were told by an uncle of Naranjo, that there was an animal dead on the side of the road on 119, that resembled a Chupacabra.

Officers investigate burglaries Yorktown Police Department reports investigations are underway concerning two burglaries and two criminal mischief reports filed last week. Children's Rainbow Room After holding a successful fundraiser earlier this summer, members of Arneckeville 4-H presented a check for $850 to The Rainbow Room in Cuero. Housed in the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services offices, The Rainbow Room is an emergency resource center created to help abused or neglected children.
